Ann Dolin’s Bio

Parenting a student isn’t easy. Add in a global pandemic and the sudden shift to virtual learning, and families’ stress levels are at an all-time high. For nearly 30 years, Ann Dolin has dedicated her career to helping parents and students overcome that stress, succeed academically, and enjoy the K-12 journey together.

Ann Dolin began as a Fairfax County, VA public school teacher. She received an undergraduate degree in Child Psychology with Teacher Certification for grades 1-8 and received an M.Ed. in Special Education from Boston College in 1992. She’s spent over 25 years in education, teaching and tutoring students from Kindergarten to College.

In 1998, she founded Educational Connections, tutoring one student at her dining room table. Today, her company has grown to employ over 200 tutors who have provided virtual and in-person tutoring services to 10,000+ students in the Washington, D.C. area.

Over the years, Ann Dolin has observed, developed, and shared practical strategies for helping parents and students succeed with both online and in-person schooling. Her award-winning books and engaging presentations have helped countless families navigate the K-12 journey with confidence.
